Mission South
Mission South
Mission South takes the blues on a journey unlike any it has seen. With their strong blend of skilled songwriting, hard hitting riffs, and powerful vocals, Mission South crafts a sound that is raw, soulful and adventurous.
Los Encantados
Los Encantados
Los Encantados are all about summer and love, in the short-haired, 50's, faux-California, surfy way that leads to spiked milkshakes and jerky bodyshakes. They listen to T. Rex, Television and the Beach Boys, and you can kind of tell. Their album, The Same Damned Soul, is a true story and took place over the summer of 2010 in France and New York and then France again. Most of it was written on the F train to Coney Island and on the C train to Rockaway during the summer of 2011. It was recorded in Bushwick, until the building that housed the Encantado recording studio was condemned. After that, well...that's another story for another time. It's been a really fun roller coaster of a subway journey to get this to tape.

The six-piece from Brooklyn released the first chapter of their summer love trilogy, The Same Damned Soul, on 3/31/12. It is 1/3 of your soundtrack to summer; the other 2/3rds will be released throughout the summer of 2012. Keep your ear to the ground.
Hungry Hands
Hungry Hands
Hungry Hands is a band of the rock variety. Formed in Brooklyn in 2009 and led by JJ Byars, they are known for the high energy live shows, unusual avant approaches to songwriting, arranging, and even more unusual good looks.

All members are powerful songwriters and performers in other projects in and outside of NYC, which adds to the richness in each members individual style and the whole depth of the vibe they create together onstage. The songs, though written by JJ Byars, tend to feature everyone in the band, and also can range from concise packages of rockness to longer more exploratory pieces of lushness.

The band has been likened to the sounds of Radiohead (Bends era), Foo Fighters, Local Natives, Wilco, Grizzly Bear, Elliot Smith, Beatles, Led Zep, and more. But they have a unique sound all there own.

"With the lilting harmonies of Local Natives and Dismemberment Plan's narrative of life's various frustrations, Hungry Hands displays an often difficult unease that follows most life changes. But in epic jams like 'Grapes,' their intelligence and lush soundscapes make the changes all the more palatable"- The Deli Magazine

Their debut album "Plumb Restless" was recently self released September 20th 2012.

"From opener 'Second Guessing' to mysterious closer 'Little One,' this is a band in awe of how existence evolves, and what it might mean." -The Deli Magazine
