Chris Gethard
Chris Gethard
Chris Gethard is a teacher at the UCB Theater and a member of The Stepfathers, who perform every Friday night at the UCB theater. He has appeared on Late Night With Conan O'Brien and the ABC sitcoms Hope & Faith and the Knights of Prosperity. In 2007, Chris served as a guest writer for Saturday Night Live. He has also contributed writing to the Onion News Network, the Fuse Network, and more. He acted on and assisted the writing staff of the Comedy Central show Crossballs, and starred in the series Big Lake. In the world outside of comedy, Chris is a writer for Weird NJ magazine. In November of 2005, Weird NY, a hardcover book he wrote, was published by Barnes and Noble. Chris is obsessed with seminal early 80s pop group The Smiths. Chris is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Renzo Gracie. Which is kind of weird.

Gethard became renowned for his regular talk show at the UCB Theater, "The Chris Gethard Show." As a part of this show, Gethard waged a 13-month battle using Twitter and a September 2010 guest appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to book rap impresario Sean Combs for a midnight show. This did occur, and Mr. Combs was a guest on the January 14, 2011 version of "The Chris Gethard Show."

His most recent book published in January of 2012 entitled A Bad Idea I'm About to Do: True Tales of Seriously Poor Judgment and Stunningly Awkward Adventure has received rave reviews and was featured on This American Life with Ira Glass".

Rob is a contributing writer for High Times Magazine and various TV Shows. His 2005 documentary film "Metaphysical Graffiti - A Road Movie" was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
